The Fursdon Estate is one of Devon's hidden treasures. Tucked away in the rolling hills of mid-Devon, halfway between Exeter and Tiverton, it is 700 acres of woodland, meadows, park and farm land, surrounded by ancient hedges and dotted with venerable old oaks. Volunteers from Devon Birds were invited by David and Catriona Fursdon, the owners, to carry out a bird survey on the estate. Four visits took place in the winter, spring and early summer this year and now the results have been collated.

This Sunday afternoon, come along explore the estate on a number of guided walks, visit the house and garden and have a Devon cream tea.  Meet some of the volunteers, find out more about the surveys and the species that were found, see some of the amazing bird photography from the survey days.
