We are back in Lockdown, all sightings posts from observers should only be in their very local area (town, village or part of city). Any posts where the observer is obviously travelling distances to other sites will be deleted, Devon Birds will not edit these posts.

Sacrifices have to be made

Only my second ever sighting of these voracious feeders. Despite losing my verbascums to them, well worth it to know that my wildlife garden is successfully fulfilling its purpose.

5 Humming-bird Hawk moths in the garden today, all on Red Valerian. Also Broad-bodied Chaser & Painted Lady.
