Home garden

This female Grey Bush - Cricket leapt in through the front door this morning probably to escape the showers, thunder & lightning  After capture released it straight away on the front lawn!

In my Collins Pocket Guide to Insects of Britain & Western Europe it says 'one of several very similar species, often difficult to separate'.

27-07-18 Roborough Down

Nothing much on the down today, the usual suspects, Linnets, Yellowhammers, Stonechats, in the way of other wildlife I came across some Greyling Butterflies, one having a battle with an ant (as seen in the photo), hence the ant won and the Greyling flew off.
