We are back in Lockdown, all sightings posts from observers should only be in their very local area (town, village or part of city). Any posts where the observer is obviously travelling distances to other sites will be deleted, Devon Birds will not edit these posts.

Berrynarbor

An enjoyable day, despite the heavy rain showers, watching this newly emerged dragonfly which has bred in the pond in the garden.

First seen early this morning it is still present late this evening

West Soar

A great morning for butterflies before the clouds rolled in at 1045. Highlights were 344 Dark Green Fritillaries inc.220 on musk thistles on field edge, 3 Painted Lady and all first of the year - 4 Grayling, 2 Marbled White, 4 Gatekeeper & 30 Silver-studded Blues away from the main Bolt Head colony! First Ringlet out in Barnstaple on June 23rd
