Otter Valley

Walked Ottery to Newton Poppleford this morning. Cetti's Warbler singing just South of Ottery and at Tipton, first encounters with this sp. at these locations. Perhaps Budleigh bred birds investigating the valley? Also on the river, 2/3 Kingfishers, Grey Wagtail and, always a joy to hear, a singing Dipper. Also at Tipton, 750+ Herring Gull following a slurry spreader. How do they find food so quickly?
