Bowling Green Marsh

A hunting Sparrow hawk over Bowling Green Marsh just before the hide tide cleared the marsh and kept the returning birds on the alert, the Dunlin in the images did escape at one point actually diving in to the water.

Shortly after the Sparrow hawk had left a Buzzard came in over the marsh and landed on the ground to the right of the hide and effectively cleared all the gathered waders..

Notable build up of Wigeon, Redshank, Black Tailed Godwit and Curlew since last weeks visit.
