Dawlish Warren

Fairly busy at the Dawlish Warren hide for the high tide today.

On entering the reserve steady passage of House Martins with a few Swallows, several mixed flocks of Goldfinch and Linnet.

Approaching the hide a mixed flock of Dunlin and Ringed Plover later joined by a few Sanderling.

From the hide a single Black Tern that came in and left without landing, Common and an Arctic Tern in with the more numerous Sandwich Terns.

A single Wheatear, then a reasonably low flying Spitfire came down the river and over the hide which moved a good number of the birds about.
