A mixed morning at Hartland Point!

Enthused by reports of Skuas and such like I left my bed at silly 'o' clock to arrive at Hartland Point for dawn. Not much to be seen and then the wind caught my scope and broke the base of the seating off, ending my sea watch. (fixed with super glue I hope) On gloomily walking back to the car a noticed a fuss in the hedge next to the Heli port. A clear Lapland Bunting within about 10ft squabbling with some Dunnock. Watched for about 15mins, it called continually so was also able to check the call etc on the RSPB website and others. So not all bad!
