Beesands Ley

Did the WeBS count today, 18 Gadwall present which is a vast improvement on recent times ( I once managed a complete blank here on all species). About 25% of the water surface has some kind of algal weed on it and its increasing. When  this happened at Slapton 3 years ago it held loads of wildfowl through winter 13/14. Hopefully Beesands might go a similar way. For anyone who has sensibly given up looking here in recent winters it might be worth calling in again
