Bowling Green and Orcombe Point

From the platform at BGM late afternoon was a Black Swan, 3 Avocet, 2 Curlew Sandpipers, 21 Little Egrets a calling Water Rail and the usual suspects.. No sign of the Black Tern. Just to add to Nick Potters post. The Guillemot was also on the Exe yesterday in the Exton area. I thought at the time that it was odd to see one so far up the estuary

Belated news (did put on birdguides) of a very obliging Wryneck at Orcombe Point yesterday. It afforded me some great views (at one point it was sat on the wire fence around 8ft away) in total it showed well for around an hour at mid morning. it was feeding on the main coastal path near where the footpath to Gore Lane starts. I then lost it as the path became very busy with walkers. Other birds of note where a nice group of Yellow Wagtails, Sparrowhawk, Whitethroat and a GS Woodpecker.
