Rillage Point, nr Ilfracombe, 08.15 to 10.00

Groups of Swallows totalling about 120 flying in off the sea into SE headwind. Small numbers of Sand Martins and House Martins with them. Watched a Ruff (rare in these parts) low over the sea, followed shortly after by a Ringed Plover. Also 30 Meadow Pipits, 43 Goldfinches, 4 Stonechats and 3 passage Collared Doves.
