Bowling Green and Exe

Popped into the new hide at Bowling Green Marsh this evening just in time to see the osprey (great first bird to see from the new hide, good timing!!) before it flew off down river. The hide's really nice, surprised to see so many birders still viewing the marsh through the hedge now it's open!

Also, godwits were all the way up into Topsham along the river this evening in numbers, including the duck feeding area, never seen so many there.

Several flocks of swallows gathering around, especially over Ludwell Valley Park and the swing bridge at Countess Wear.
