Very quiet at Mid Soar this morning, practically birdless. Things perked up at Starehole however when a typically brief Wryneck showed itself for all of thirty seconds before flying off down the valley.

It refused to show itself again despite much searching. (Where do they go)?

Trudging up the valley turned up two Spotted Flycatchers, three Blackcaps and a splendid Redstart.

Elswhere in the area was another Redstart, a Whinchat and around twenty Yellow Wagtails.
