Sharkham Point

Wryneck (see record shots) located just north of point next to old mine workings at 0850hrs. Showed well again at 1500hrs.

Also noted throughout the day were at least 40+ Chiffchaffs on first circuit (stopped counting after this) in with the increasing Long-tailed Tit flocks. No YBW though!

12 Stonechats in one field, 2 Whitethroats, steady passage of hirundines all day mostly Housemartin, flocks of Goldfinches and Linnets were also building around the headland. Lots of other common species seen too.

Some common Butterflies seen included Large White, Meadow Brown, Speckled Wood, Small Tortoiseshell, Red Admirals (lots), Painted lady.
