Nuthatches on Berry Head

After reading Mike Langman's entry concerning the sighting of a Nuthatch on Berry Head, we thought it might be interesting to report that we saw two Nuthatches here ourselves when we visited on September 12th. They were both perched very prominently on the large metal aerial near the end of the headland, calling to each other. We also spotted one earlier in some nearby bushes, but it was likely to have been one of the same two birds.

We commented at the time that it seemed a fairly unusual habitat for Nuthatches, but i guess we were luckier to see them here than we recognised!
