Bowling Green Marsh

A change of scene and a visit to BGM over the high tide this morning produced the usual suspects. A single Curlew Sandpiper in amongst the Dunlin and  an Osprey over at 11.00am were the most noteworthy species.

Other birds included: Black-tailed Godwit - 350+, Bar-tailed Godwit - 1, Avocet - 1, Greenshank - 3, Green Sandpiper - 1, Knot - 2, Snipe - 1, Lapwing, Little Egret 30+, Tufted Duck, Little Grebe and building numbers of Teal, Shoveler and Wigeon. Not forgetting the 2 Bar-headed Geese in with the Canada Geese flock. They might be plastic, but they are cracking birds!
