A brief flight view of a wryneck in front of the pines at Wembury Point this morning was the highlight of a very pleasant walk along the coast path. Also seen were 3 yellow wagtails along the beach with 100+ alba wagtails, 4 juvenile wheatears, a whitethroat, chiffchaffs and swallows, 2 whimbrel, 2 redshank, 1 common sandpiper, 3 ringed plover, 3 turnstone and a peregrine flying over with a kill.

1 Painted lady also seen with plenty of red admirals and small tortoiseshells.
