West Charleton Marsh / Bay

Great couple hours this evening on the high tide. Thought there was a maximum of 6 Cattle Egrets, hard to see following cattle through the rushes and reeds but eventually 8 flew out and down ria to the local egret roost. Wonder if they are fresh in or part of yesterdays influx ? For what it's worth they seemed to know which direction the roost was so maybe familiar with area..About to leave the hide when a Barn Owl started quartering the marsh and then all the gulls in the bay went crazy and an Osprey was out there catching a fish pretty late in the day. Also saw Common Sandpiper and 2 Snipe.
