Aveton Gifford tidal road

On arrival at the Aveton Gifford tidal road this afternoon, several birders viewing a juvenile Yellow Legged Gull, the reported Osprey showed up perching at the top of a dead tree across the estuary, flew several times before returning to the same perch.


Its presence flushed a number of birds including 34 Curlew, 17 Black Tailed Godwit and 34 plus Mallard.

Four Greenshank flew in, 2 Little Egret, 1 Heron, 1 Buzzard, 24 Mute Swan and a Common Sandpiper.

Dart Bridge this evening two Dipper.
