Exmouth

Orcombe Point - quiet this morning - just 1 chiffchaff, 5 phyllosc sp, 4 yellow wagtail, 5 grey wagtail, 1 tree pipit, 12+ swallow, 5 whitethroat, 3 alba wagtail, 3 wheatear and 2 mediterranean gull. 450+ shag in a single flock was a good count though.

Belle Vue Road - from the garden, looking out on to the river (beyond Mudbank) 110+ wigeon, 1 teal, 2 great crested grebe, 1 redshank, 2 bar-tailed godwit, 3 black tern (1430) and 1 yellow wagtail.

28/8 - count from garden - 1 coal tit, 10 black-tailed godwit, 5 greenshank, 86+ wigeon and the first returning pintail.

Migrants on Orcombe in the last couple of days have included 36 yellow wagtail and 4 tree pipit on 27/8 and 1 snipe, 2 grey wagtail, 10 yellow wagtail, 5 tree pipit, 1 spotted flycatcher and 2 arctic skua on 28/8.
