Berry Head

A short walk from the car park we saw a Hummingbird Hawkmoth and I took numerous photos, descending into the quarry the verges were alive with Common Blue, male and female, Small Tortoiseshell, a Painted Lady and a Clouded Yellow. A couple of Chiff Chaff were "weep"ing from the trees in the quarry and also a single whitethroat. We spotted a large Grey Seal hanging around by the guys fishing off the quarry. Birds were thin on the ground but butterflies and insects doing well. Even saw our first Ladybird this year.
