Exmouth

Orcombe Point - 3 alba wagtail, 4 phyllosc sp, 3+ willow warbler, 1+ chiffchaff, 15+ wheatear, 6+ yellow wagtail, 2+ grey wagtail, 10+ whitethroat, 1+ tree pipit, 1+ sedge warbler and 1 redstart. An increase in migrant numbers after a quiet week but yellow wagtails have been present daily moving through and commuting between cattle herds. On 22/8 there was a 250+ feeding flock of manx shearwaters close in off Orcombe Point with 2+ balearic shearwater and an arctic skua.

Belle Vue Road - a couple hours watching from the garden this morning produced 6 wigeon, 6 teal, 2 mediterranean gull, 2 redshank, 7+ common tern, 3 sparrowhawk, 1 juv yellow-legged gull, 2 yellow wagtail and 1 tree pipit.
