Dawlish Warren
24 members of East Devon Branch of DB spent the morning with leader Ian Pullan. A total of 33 species were found but numbers of waders were poor. A single Red-Throated Diver present a mile out on a calm sea together with c100 Shag. A single Bar-tailed Godwit on the estuary side plus singles of Turnstone, Whimbrel and Dunlin together with 3 Knot and 3 Common Tern. Slavonian Grebe near railway line. 2 Wheatear and a Peregrine also present. 26 Sanderling on the seaward side of shoreline on our return walk.
