Upottery Airfield, Smeatharpe

A real feel of autumn this morning with a brisk north westerly. This and the overnight showers had combined to produce the first Wheatears of the autumn with 5 birds. Other species were also more in evidence today with 15 Pied Wagtails, 25 Swallows and 10 House Martins, a single Meadow Pipit and a male Sparrowhawk.

Just to make a mockery of my comment on gulls yesterday, an adult GBB gull and 2 adult LBB gulls present with around 40 Herring Gulls.
