Around the Axe

Black Hole and Colyford Marsh at high tide today gave the following totals: 1 Wood Sandpiper (there were 2 last night), 1 Ruff, 2 Greenshank, 3 Little Ringed Plover (incl 2 over west), 10 Lapwing,12 Green Sands, 20 Ringed Plover, 42 Dunlin and the first 4 Wigeon of the autumn.

A Cuckoo was a nice surprise too, at the south end of Colyford Common (earlier seen by Black Hole Marsh).
