Upottery Airfield, Smeatharpe

A cold north westerly wind made for difficult birding this evening. Just 5 wheatears and 1 whitethroat but now 3 ringed plover with the juv joined by two adults. Around 80 swallows feeding in the area. On the way home an astonishing 30 mistle thrushes gathered just on the Devon side of the Somerset/Devon border just outside Churchinford.
