English Channel - 18/08/12

Yesterday fishing 11nm S of Start Point, very quiet birdwise considering the strong winds of the previous days. Attracted to the boat and chum were: Sooty Shearwater, 3 European Storm-petrels, 5 Fulmars, 6 Great Black-backed Gulls, juv Common Tern and juv Kittiwake (pretty dire for August). On the return journey to Dartmouth, another Sooty Shearwater, a few Manx Shearwaters, Ocean Sunfish and three large dolphins, did not get too much on them but dorsal fins looked more like White-beaked than Bottlenose!
