Exminster Marshes

Yesterday confirming the number of wood sandpipers proved difficult. At one time 4 were in the air together, they landed back on the marsh. Shortly after two rose from another part of the marsh and flew south gaining height until they were lost to view. After that I could only find one on the pool.

Today I failed to find any. However a whinchat, lesser whitethroat and spotted flycatcher made up for it.
