Gull-billed Tern Passage House Kingseignton 17-7-2015

Spent a bit more time taken more video footage of the Gull-billed Tern which showed much better yesterday mid-day into the afternoon flying between the Passage House Inn carpark and the road bridge. It was feeding on the small crabs along the shoreline where it would swoop down picking them up and discarding the shells on the wing which can be seen in one of the videos. Also taken close-in digiscoped video just the other side of the water where it landed a couple of times. The bird disappears on the incoming high-tide north over the road bridge to roost with the other gulls at Newton Abbot race course so best seen towards the outgoing and low-tides.
