Cranbrook (New Town), Nr Exeter

Always looking for new birding venues thought I would look at the new reserve being created near to the railway line.  Much to my surprise I found this nice Little Ringed Plover... and... a Green Sandpiper.  The latter flew off north but the LR Plover remained after I left at 13.30.  Plenty of food present so it will probably stay.  Lots of House Martin nesting around the new town.  To find the reserve.. park at/near Younghayes Centre and keeping on same side of road take 2nd road on the left which leads towards railway.  (Take pedestrian path towards dedicated dog walking area and reserve comes into sight).

Note. South West Lakes Trust, Burrator Celebration Day SUNDAY 6 July 10.30am- 4.0pm a chance to see the new Discovery Centre and visit Devon Birds display. Lots of family entertainment.
