Doccombe - Mardon Down

A walk from Doccombe around Mardon Down to the fringes of Fingle Woods and back produced a Sparrowhawk, two Crossbills, several Redpolls, Siskins, Garden Warblers, Stonechats and Tree Pipits, innumerable Willow Warblers (including many juveniles), Yellowhammers and Whitethroats, and, between the showers, wonderful views to East and West. The bonus bird was a Cuckoo chasing the wind Eastward.
