Severe Disruption on Site -    Throughout July 2018

Please be aware that major work to remove overhead power lines across the site will mean severe disruption through the month of July to Black Hole Marsh, Stafford Marsh and Colyford Common.

The Car Park and footpaths to the Tower Hide and Stafford Marsh will be closed Monday – Friday for the first two weeks of July.

(2nd – 6th; 9th – 13th)

There will also be a complete site closure on the 26th of July.

Outside of these times the site will be open for public visiting, but there could be minor disruption and machinery on site will mean the wildlife spectacle will not be of the usual high standards. The works are estimated to be completed by 26th July, after which the removal of the overhead wires will be a huge boost for many ground-nesting birds, water birds and other wildlife on the site. It is being carried out after nesting period but before the autumn migration in an attempt to keep disturbance of wildlife to a minimum.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Please contact James Chubb, Wetlands Site Manager on 07964 132282 for further information.
