After a return journey of 7 miles in a pair of wellington boots in 21C some of which was in soft sand, I was rewarded with a male Kentish Plover.

As far as I remember in over 60 years of walking the sands, this is only my second sighting of Kentish Plover.

I have a feeling that it may turn up on the Skern next but do not hold it against me if not!
