Grasshopper Warbler the star bird of a late afternoon dogwalk from The Green, Fremington, along the permissive footpath to the Tarka Trail. The Gropper was reeling from the near side of the reedbed area at Salt Pill Duck Pond. Also good Swift/House Martin/Swallow movement with the showers. Jay, GSWoodpecker, Sparrowhawk, Sedge Warbler, Reed Warbler, Reed Bunting, Whitethroat, Stonechat.

I can't stress enough how much potential there is in the habitat either side of this short walk. Well worth a quick detour off the Tarka Trail any time (but especially when the pushbike traffic is like it was today).
