Stover
A Mandarin Duck has 3 young (Manderlings?) in the inlet channel, plus 3 drakes near the boardwalk. Also 2 Stock Doves (one interested in an open-fronted box on a tree) and Mistle Thrush young (doing a good White's Thrush impression!)
Dragonflies in fair abundance also, with c12 Hairy Dragonflies, c25 Red-eyed Damselflies, masses of Azure and Large Red Damselflies and smaller numbers of Beautiful Demoiselle, Blue-tailed and Common Blue Damselflies, Broad-bodied and Four-spotted Chasers and Emperor, but no Downy Emeralds (although there were 5 at Little Bradley Ponds earlier). If anyone is interested in seeing them, join our BDS/Devonshire Association meeting at Stover this Sunday at 10am.
