Watched from 07:00 till 14:45

A quick look around bowling green marsh showed 3 ruff still, 1 great creasted grebe, 4 Reed warbler, 4 Reed buntings, 3 common gull, 6 tufted duck, from the goatwalk 500+ Dunlin 4 ringed plover, 7+ grey plover.

A great days raptor passage started just after 09:30 with a red kite heading over powderham Park heading north west from the goatwalk , 20 minutes later a second red kite headed north over exminster marsh soon followed by 2 hobby, and 1 peregrine, Just before 11:00 picked up an Osprey heading north over exminster marsh gaining height as it crossed over the motorway bridge, 11:20 produced 1 red kite before it joined another 2 then heading north, followed soon after by another red kite this time low over the goat walk heading east, numerous hobby we’re seen between turf and the motorway bridge.

moved up to the church in topsham and again had numerous hobby, and buzzards between turf and the motorway bridge and 2 kestrel.

then moved round to the viewing platform at bowling green marsh again numerous buzzards, and then 13:58 another red kite low over the viewing platform again heading east.

Then from the hide at bowling green another 2 red kite high heading east at 14:34 and 1 knot in with 200+ black tailed godwits.

so final totals 9 red kite, 1 osprey, 2 kestrel , 10+ hobby, 1 peregrine, 4+ sparrowhawk, 50+ buzzards, the hobby total was more likely higher and the same with the buzzard total.
