Bowling Green Marsh area 30th April

30th April ~ Exe ~ Bowling Green Marsh area, very little of note on the marsh itself on a low tide, from the railway bridge to the Goat Walk 23 Dunnock, Song Thrush, Long tailed Tit, Greater Spotted Woodpecker, Starling, Chiffchaff seen and heard singing, and 3 Wren.

From the viewing platform, Black tailed Godwit, Greenshank, Dunlin, Heron, Little Egret, Buzzard.  Canadian Geese and Whimbrel flying into the marsh.

From the Goat walk, Swifts calling and then two overhead, two Sandwich Terns perched on buoys, 4 Ringed Plover, 9 Dunlin, Little Egrets, Godwits, Black Headed Gull.

Back home at South Brent Siskin and Reed Buntings on the garden feeders, Mistle Thrush look to be setting up to nest, first Blackbird chick of the season showing well.
