Upottery Airfield, Smeatharpe

Another quiet day in this strange Spring. A late female Wheatear today following a late male on Monday (neither were Greenland race). Whitethroats at last on territory ( 3- 4 singing males), 2 singing Blackcaps and a Green Woodpecker. A flock of 16 Linnets were, presumably, non-breeders.  Red Kites conspicuous by their absence despite flying over home a few miles away.
