Slapton Ley ( mid-morning )

A strange sighting was a Great Northern Diver flying overhead between Frogmore and Chillington on the drive out. About 400 House Martins flying around the ley with at least a couple hundred Swifts. About 50 of these playing chicken with the traffic over the road by the Torcross car park. Wonderful to stand on the raised bank of the car park as they flew right by me at head height. If i live to be 200 i'll never grow tired of watching these amazing birds. Little on the sea, just 7 Sandwich terns through in 30 minutes and a couple distant unidentified Divers flying south ( probably Great Northern by default ).
