Around the Axe

Nice Wood Sandpiper on Black Hole Marsh this morning alongside 3 Greenshank. After a few mins the Wood Sand flew south, but about 15 mins later I could hear it calling again.

Earlier, an hour's seawatch from 05:30 was disappointing with 6 Gannet, 10 Whimbrel, 10 Dunlin, 12 auk sp., 9 Kittiwake, 3 Sandwich Tern, 1 Common Tern and 1 Med Gull (1st summer) over it, with the drake Velvet Scoter and 3 Common Scoters on it.

To top the morning off, just had a single Sanderling on the beach.
