Grenofen Woods, Dartmoor

A Red Kite high and distant overhead (zoomed and cropped record shot attached) the highlight this morning on a walk at Grenofen Woods. Also 2 song-flighting Tree Pipits, a very mobile and elusive male Redstart singing, good views of a singing Garden Warbler, a Cuckoo heard twice but not seen, a male Yellowhammer, a male Stonechat, a Raven over being mobbed by Carrion Crows, a male Grey Wagtail along the river, Green Woodpecker heard yaffling and a female Great-spotted Woodpecker along with the usual Chiffchaff, Blackcap, Willow Warbler, Nuthatch, Mistle Thrush, etc. Lots of Brimstones around too.
