Yesterday 3rd April at Prawle and Slapton

Lots of singing Chiffchaffs and Blackcaps on arrival at Prawle. Walking from Bunkers to Horsley Cove I saw my first House Martin here and my first Wheatear. At Horsely Cove a party of 7 Shelduck.

At Slapton Ley from Stokeley Bay hide I also saw the 2 male and 1 female Ring-Necked Ducks in some ways eclipsed by the sight of hundreds of Sand Martins ,which at 1pm covered the whole of the Ley visible from the hide.
