Odd that I didn't see any Godwits this morning despite being in the reserve most of the morning! At least 6 Blackcaps, 4 Willow Warblers and 3 Chiffchaff around the reserve. I went along to look at the scrape this evening and was pleased to see 90+ Black-tailed Godwits, along with a Shelduck, and a Common Sandpiper. So on to Sherpa, where last night there were NO Swallows or Sand Martins, just an odd late drake Wigeon. Tonight there were about 50 Sand Martins but only one Swallow. 2 more Common Sandpipers.
