Rillage Pt to Watermouth

Given that it was a second consecutive calm, dry and a fairly clear morning after similar conditions overnight, it was unsurprising that there were few grounded migrants in evidence, but visible migration is still depressed for the time of year. Charts for the next few days show a lot of cloud, rain and generally cool conditions for SW Europe, so not great for birds trying to move N. But back to this morning's showing: 5 Common Gulls (loose flock of ads moving E), 7 Sandwich Terns (ones & twos moving W), 3 Collared Doves (record site count!), 1 Goldcrest, 15 Swallows, 1 House Martin, 6 Chiffchaffs, 2 Blackcaps, 6 alba wagtails, 11 Meadow Pipits, 16 Goldfinches, 3 Siskins & 25 Linnets.
