Rillage Point to Watermouth

06.40 to 08.30: A loose flock of 8 Sandwich Terns and – surprisingly early given the generally late start to migration – a single Common Tern, all feeding close in. Another influx of grounded passerines, including 3 Goldcrests, 12 Chiffchaffs, 5 Willow Warblers, 2 Blackcaps (both f). Overhead visible migration limited by the frequent showers but included 1 Swallow, 4 Sand Martins, 4 alba wagtails, just 8 Meadow Pipits, 17 Linnets and a Greenfinch.
