Yarner Wood

As other posts from today a very good birding morning the Heathland was alive with birds despite the early thick fog, Yellow Hammer and Willow Warbler well represented.

Very distant Cuckoo heard calling very briefly.

All three Woodpecker species, Stonechat, three Mandarin, Treecreeper, Pheasant, Stonechat, Song Thrush, Goldfinch and Linnet.

On Dartmoor this afternoon from Princetown down to Holne, Swallow, three Sand Martin, Skylark  and Meadow Pipit in good numbers, Green Woodpecker, Linnet and Willow Warbler.
