South Huish and Cattle Egrets

South Huish this morning - Glaucous Gull on and off all morning. Also 1 Cattle Egret on marsh or nearby cattle field, 1 Water Pipit , 6 Little Egrets, a Curlew and several Swallows and Sand Martins. No sign of the Iceland Gull this morning.

'On the way home ' - found the Cattle Egret flock near Chivelstone in a grass field with cattle behind the wind turbine west of the road between Cousins Cross and Chivelstone Cross, but only viewed distantly from the South Pool road from Cousins Cross or the farm track south of Chivelstone Cross, but unfortunately the cattle were right on the brow of the hill so all the Egrets were never all in view at the same time . Counted at least 15, but presumably the 19 Perry had Friday were all still there.

Opposite Bowden House near Totnes now 9 Cattle Egrets ( and 2 Little Egrets) in usual grazed kale field.
