Around the exe

Started at bowling green marsh 07:30 till 12:15

178+ black tailed godwits were on the marsh all morning and were joined by 11+ bar tailed godwit, 35+ dunlin, 40+ whimbrel, with another 7 over North, 20+ greenshank, 4+ sedge warblers, 6+ reed warbler, 2 whitethroat, 10+ blackcap, 8+ chiffchaffs, 2 tufted duck, 1 little grebe, 2 Cetti's warblers, a few house Martin , sand Martin and swallows.

from the goatwalk 20+ whimbrel, 2 knot, 1 ringed plover, 120+ dunlin.

on goosemoore 5+ whimbrel, 1 spotted redshank

then moved onto exminster marsh 12:30 till 14:30

2+ hobby, 2 gadwall, 5 little egret, 80+ swift was the first big movement of the spring.

( not related to devon but a rare quick visit over the border to get the Hudsonian godwit at meare Heath in Somerset this afternoon cracking bird to add to my life list and what a great site)
