Soar and South Huish

Arrived in the car park at East Soar at 07.30 to find a rather wet looking Short-eared Owl which stayed for c10 mins before driting into the mist. The thick mist refused to clear so I dropped down to South Huish where there was: 7 Dunlins, Common Sandpiper, 8+ Whimbrels, 30+ Swallows, c20 Sand Martins, c10 House Martins, and a Wheatear, A flock of 13 Bonxies on the sea flew off east, and a Reed Warbler was singing at South Milton Ley.
