Prawle Point

136 Manx Shearwater , I Red-Throated Diver and 2 x 1st ( or is it 2nd ?) year Common Gulls west between 7.55 and 8.55;  2 Wheatears and 4 Swallows ( my first at Prawle this year) over the Hump. . Around the car park there were 6 singing Blackcaps ,and 1 female; 4 singing Chiffchaffs and 3 singing Willow Warblers, which , under blue skies was lovely . But probably ( despite loads of Wrens and Dunnocks trying their best ) the day was won for the butterflies ( yeah !) : 1 x Brimstone ; 6+ Speckled Woods, 2 x Holly Blues; several Peacocks and small Tortoiseshells, and ,in Pig's Nose Valley, more of the same plus a couple of female Orange Tips.
